Parking

We're so excited to have you all out at the Bonfyre Trail Fest Run... but we have a limited number of parking spots! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE CARPOOL! Carpooling is an environmentally friendly and sustainable way to travel, you will save cash on fuel and enjoy some quality time with others.

To park you will proceed through the main parking area down a two track road to the main event parking. There will be parking volunteers directing you to a spot on race morning. Please listen to them!

Course Overview

5 MILE: Runs the Green Lake Loop from start to finish

10 MILE: Runs a small section of Green from starting line, then hops on to run the blue Big Kame loop, then the entire Green Lake Loop to the finish.

18 MILE: Runs a small section of Green from starting line, then hops on to run the blue Big Kame loop, then the entire yellow Winn loop, then the entire Green Lake loop to the finish.

 

Please note: All trail mileage at DTE Energy Foundation Trails have been measured multiple times with a measuring wheel. GPS is innacurate on flow trails due to coastline paradox so your watch may be innacurate!


Cutoffs

Cutoff Times: All participants must finish by 3PM (5 Hours). 5M and 10M are hiker friendly.

  • 5M - Should be through aid station at 3.2 miles by 11:30AM to stay on pace
  • 10M - Should be through aid station at 3.25 miles by 11:30AM, 4.75 miles by 12:15 and 8 mile by 1:45PM.
  • 18M - Should be through aid station at 3.25 miles by 10:50AM, 7.25 miles by 11:55AM, 11.25 miles by 12:55PM, 12.5 miles by 1:15PM and 16 miles by 2:15PM.

Aid Stations

There will be aid stations on all courses serving up water, gatorade and gu! Distances are as follows:

  • 5 MILE - There will be no aid station on the 5 Mile course. Please carry anything that you will require with you during the race.
  • 10 MILE - stations at 3.25 and 4.75 Miles
  • 18 MILE - stations at 3.25, 7.25, 11.25, and 12.5 Miles

Awards & Post-Race

Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female in all distances based on gun time. Age group awards will be presented to the top 3 males and top 3 females in each 5 year age group.

Plan on hangin' out after you finish! We will be having a beer garden serving up some New Holland Brewing favorites along with live music and a roaring bonfire! This is soon to be your favorite fall trail festival. All beer proceeds will go to support the Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative.

  • Beer garden will open at 10:30AM
  • Band will be on from 11:15AM-2:45PM
  • Last call will be at 3:00PM, garden closes at 3:15PM
  • Finisher's first beer is on us (ticket is attached to your bib). All beers after that $5, Bring your bucks!
